I am a 30-something and have been getting frustrated when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I feel like my skin is so dry and dull… and fine lines are popping up like mad.
And ohhh how I hate the fact that I’ve been getting stressed about the aging process lately. I’d made this pact with my younger self that I would never freak out about getting older, but I guess I’m human after all.
So I’ve started to do some research on ingredients that can help nurture my delicate and sometimes feisty skin. Those that can keep it from thinning and reduce fine lines… without having to pump my skin full of fillers or spending huge amounts of cash on products that “may” work.
My research revealed some really cool sh*t about all-natural ingredients that can make a noticeable and lasting difference if you use them regularly. Here’s what I found…
#1 – Hyaluronic Acid Is a Miracle Worker
It’s produced naturally within our own skin cells and helps maintain moisture levels. But as we age and we’re constantly hit with environmental factors, our bodies don’t create as much. When this happens, say “hello” to dullness, fine lines, and even tone and texture challenges.
#2 – Collagen Is the Glue That Holds Everything Together
Here’s the drill. None of us can have healthy skin without adequate levels of collagen, especially around our chins, around the eyes, and around the mouth. When collagen breaks down, our worst nightmares come true. Collagen creams and serums, drinking tons of water, quitting smoking, and consuming collagen supplements can make a difference.
#3 – Rosehip Oil Clears, Protects, and Defends
Rosehip oil was used by Egyptians, Mayans, and Native Americans due to its healing properties. It’s extremely high in essential fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants. It does wonders for calming and hydrating sensitive skin.
#4 – White Tea Extract
White Tea Extract has antioxidant properties that protects and nourishes the skin, plus it reduces oxidative stress to keep skin looking and feeling younger.
#5 – Witch Hazel Clarifies and Tightens Pores
According to the research I’ve done, witch hazel is a safe and effective way to clarify skin. It’s been used for centuries by Native Americans as a remedy for all sorts of skin irritations and inflammation. It does wonders to make the skin glow.
Not All Face Masks Are Created Equally
After my research was complete, I decided to see if there is a face mask that at least combines a couple of these ingredients so I don’t have to buy them all separately. Initially, I tried a few and they weren’t anything to write home about. One made the skin around my skin red and irritated, it took a day for the irritation to calm down. I tried another and the fragrance was HORRIBLE. It made my eyes water and sting so badly that I could barely see for 30 minutes!
I did one more search online and found Blush’s Bio-Cellulose CBD Face Mask. They contain 25 MG of CBD, collagen, white tea extract, rosehip oil, witch hazel and a bunch of other nutrients.
I gave a Blush face mask a try… and my first thought was that they were instantly refreshing. My hope was that my skin would be hydrated and glowing. Also, I wondered if it could help plump the areas where fine lines are more pronounced.
When I put the mask on, I felt a bit of tingling… in a good way. It felt like some good things were happening. I didn’t feel any irritation. And was feeling super relaxed. I’ve never felt that way when using a face mask before. At the time I didn’t think about it, but afterward I did some reading and CBD can be pretty calming (even in a face mask).
When I took the Blush face mask off, I saw some noticeable improvements. First off, my face seemed much brighter. Yeah yeah!!! Secondly, I noticed the dryness I saw earlier replaced with moisture. I wasn’t sure if this was going to be a momentary thing, so I purposefully didn’t put any moisturizer on for a few hours. A bit of dryness did return toward the end of no moisturizer experience, but it was a pretty dry and windy day. My fine lines looked a lot better. I could see them a bit, but not nearly as bad as before.
So… I tried a couple other Blush Face Masks over the next two days. By the third application I really noticed a big difference. My skin was so much smoother, no more dullness, and my fine lines were noticeably improved.
This experiment proved to me that I have a lot more power than I realized before. The right ingredients… and quality I think makes a huge difference. Whether you want to purchase each of the above ingredients separately or enjoy them in Blush’s masks, it’s up to you. I’ve gone all in on Blush’s masks. I now keep a stock of them and use them weekly. I figured out that if I purchase three boxes at a time, I can save quite a bit of money. Here’s the deal I found if you’re interested.
My hope as I move toward my 40s is that I can keep my skin looking more youthful and bright. I’ll check in periodically to let you all know how my effort is panning out! Hope this article has been helpful!
